The successful first Eastern Africa Capacity Building Workshop on Space Weather and Low-latitude Ionosphere foreseen in the framework of the NORISK project has been held in the Luigi Broglio - Malindi Space Center from 3 to 12 October 2023.
During the workshop 27 young African scienists + 2 young scientists from Asia had the possiblity to interact with 20 lecturers from all over the world selected among the most important research scientists in the field of Space Weather.
The workshop included frontal lessonds as well as hands-on activiies about:
Space Weather and Sun-Earth coupling
GNSS fundamentals
HF Systems generalities
The Low latitude ionosphere
Ionospheric monitoring, modelling and forecasting
ICT infrastructure for space weather data sharing
